Déogratias Nizeyimana isn't an author who writes for a living — he writes afterward. A chemical engineer with a degree from the University of Liège (1982), he worked at the Directorate General of Energy and later helped uncover mineral deposits at the Department of Geology Laboratories. He served as a member of parliament and communal council president — while also serving as an extraordinary minister of the Eucharist and catechist, first in Kinindo, then in Musaga.
A title that warns rather than reassures
« Our human environment is lined with traps » doesn't promise an easy life — it describes life as it is, scattered with obstacles no one chooses. That same conviction, shaped by teachings from the Neocatechumenal Way since 2007, had already led him to write « La Miséricorde Divine dans les Méandres de ma Vie » (2022, already available on Akaguriro).
